Webinar: Web Help Desk for HR, Facilities and Accounting Departments
This webinar will focus on use cases for HR, Facilities and Accounting.

Having a unified ticketing and asset management system for all the departments in your company can provide end-users with a seamless experience and make things easier for your IT team. Yet, with different business tasks and objectives, many departments don’t fully understand the capabilities of Web Help Desk and how the software can be customized for effective use in their departments.

Citrix "Cloudbridge" and some HP devices may also use a similar "Login: "cli" requirement as part of the login logic

In a config download operation for the Cloudbridge and some other hp devices, NCM receives an authentication error from the server:""Invalid username or password".

Device would issue the Login as:
NCM would send the username as specified in the Node settings in NCM
Device would ask for the Password
NCM would send the password as specified in the Node settings in NCM
The device then would issue a prompt "Login:" and is expecting the text "cli" to be retuned to continue.

The following workaround has worked for the Citrix Cloudbridge device. Some HP devices may also use a similar "Login: cli" requirement as part of the log-in logic.

Click NCM Settings > Device Templates.

  1. Select the device template and click Edit.
  2. Click Using Interative Wizard.
  3. Click Duplicate and Edit Template.
  4. Select the relevant node and click Next.
  5. Choose and operation.
  6.  In General Device Access, set username to valid device log in username, set the password to the actual password for the username, and set Enable to <no/>.
  7. Click Next on Config Download.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. Open the device template again but this time select Using XML Editor.
  10. Add these precommand:

  11. <command name="PreCommand" value="cli">
  12. Save the device template.

Note:  This process can be used anytime after the initial login and the device requires some text to be entered to continue.  For example CTRL+Y  or Press any key to continue
