Overview

This article provides information about the change of session trace default location.

In some cases, you may have trouble finding the session trace on default installed directory after upgrading to NCM version 7.4

 

Environment

NCM version 7.4 and later 

Detail

Notes:

  • After upgrading the NCM the session trace location and logging is changed to the following location below:
  • This location cannot be changed and its hard coded within the application due to Troubleshooting log collection.

 

NCM 7.3 Session-Trace location 

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\Session-Trace

To find this, go to Settings > NCM Settings > Advanced Setting.

 

 

 

NCM 7.4 Session-Trace location 

C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\Orion\NCM\Session-Trace

To find this, go to Settings > NCM Settings > Advanced Setting.
