Overview

This article discusses if it is possible to use the Avocent console to connect to the router/switch on a certain port in order to backup the configuration of the device

All NCM versions

Detail

SolarWinds does not support using third party console to connect to a device using another port to proceed with the device configuration backup.

The backup of device configuration must be done by connecting directly to the device without any third party console.
