This article describes how to correct an issue adding a Node when NTA is installed.  If you check the BusinessLayerHost.log file you will find the error:

Unable to find assembly 'SolarWinds.DPI.BusinessLayer'

NTA 4.1.2 and earlier

This is caused by installing only 64-bit C++ 2013 runtime (part of NTA installation). If there is an older build of 32-bit C++ 2013 runtime, it was uninstalled for unknown reason.

  1. Download vcredist_x86.exe from the Microsoft website.
  2. Run the installer.
  3. Restart all Orion services from the Orion Service Manager.
  4. Test by adding the device again.
