Top 100 Conversations Including Applications report does not display hostnames

Overview

This article addresses the issue where the Top 100 Conversations Including Applications report is displaying IP addresses and not hostnames.

Environment

All NTA versions

Cause 

By default this report is configured to show source and destination IP addresses and not hostnames. Columns for the hostnames can be added to show the required information.

Resolution

  1. On the Web Console, go to Settings > Manage Reports.
  2. Locate the Top 100 Conversations Including Applications report and click Edit Report.
  3. Click Edit Table.
  4. Click + to add a column.
  5. Select the following:
    • Source Hostname
    • Destination Hostname
  6. Click Add Column and rearrange as desired.
  7. Click Submit.
  8. Complete the wizard.
