Overview

The following error message appears in the NTA charts:

Environment

All NTA versions

Cause 

The causes for this issue include the following:

 

  1. The time for for resources was changed to date from more than 30 days back. By default, NTA has a 30 day retention period
  2. The chart is not configured to display the correct Flow Direction for the device
  3. NTA FSDB service is not running

Resolution

The solution to each cause is outlined below.  

 

1.  Edit the NTA resources and select the following setting:

  • Time Period
  • Use Time Period from Current View

 

2.  Edit the chart to display both directions:

 

If one of the solutions above is ineffective, ensure we are actually receiving Netflow for the device.  You can validate that the device is sending flows using Wireshark, Click Here for guidelines.
