These release notes provide additional guidance for SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) v4.1.

Note: NTA 4.1 requires SolarWinds NPM 11.0 or newer. Make sure you upgrade NPM before you start upgrading to NTA 4.1.

New Features and Improvements

NTA version 4.1 includes the following new features and improvements:

  • Improved sampling rate recognition and the option to manually override detected sampling rate
  • Improved ToS classification
  • Support for MS SQL 2014
  • Orion Web Console Improvements:
    • Support for Drag&drop of resources
    • NOC view support
  • Integration of UDT resources on NTA views
  • End of support for classic charts
  • End of support for 32-bit operating systems

NTA 3.9 End of Life

NTA 3.9 is entering the End-Of-Life (EOL) cycle. Please review the following support schedule:

  • December 10, 2013: End-of-Life (EoL) announcement – Customers on SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer version 3.9 or older should begin transitioning to SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer version 4.0.
  • March 10, 2014: End-of-Engineering (EoE) – Service releases, bug fixes, workaround, and service packs for SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer version 3.9 or older will no longer actively be supported by SolarWinds.
  • March 10, 2015: End-of-Life– SolarWinds will no longer provide technical support for SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer version 3.9 or older.

Starting with NTA 4.1, NTA runs only on 64-bit operating systems.
