div class nsrow style img datakey error when viewing the Manage Netflow Sources and CBQoS Polling page

Updated: August 1,2017

Overview

When viewing the "Manage NetFlow Sources and CBQoS Polling" page, some of the Netflow Sources may be inaccessible. The following error occurs:

Environment

  • All Orion NTA environments

Cause

There are too many Netflow sources with a NULL value in the NodesData table or a NULL value in the NodeID column of that table.

This can also result in the inability to add Netflow sources.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, remove all interfaces in NetFlow Sources that are not collecting any data to bring down the size of the query.

  1. Back up the database or at least the dbo.NetflowSources table. To do so, run the Database Manager, and execute the following query:

SELECT * INTO NetflowSources_Backup FROM NetflowSources

  2. Stop the Netflow service via the Orion Service Manager
  3. In the Database Manager, run the following database query to delete sources with no data ever collected:
DELETE FROM NetFlowSourcesWhere LastTime IS NULL
  4. Restart the NetFlow service via the Orion Service Manager.

The error message does not display on Manage Netflow Sources and CBQoS Polling anymore. If the issue persists, contact support for more troubleshooting.
