Unable to start the NetFlow Service

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when you are unable to start the Netflow service. 

Starting the NetFlow service using Orion Service Manager

Service did not start

Starting the NetFlow service using "services.msc"

Get the error below:


All NTA versions



The issue is caused when there are missing files.


Possible Resolution


Run a repair of NTA:

1. Open Add / Remove Programs control panel (appwiz.cpl).

2. Right-click on SolarWinds Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer.

3. Select Repair.

4. Complete the wizard.
