Updated March 05, 2018

If you want to install NPM on a server where you have your NTA Flow Storage Database installed, you cannot finish the NPM installation.

The NTA Flow Storage service blocks the NPM installation.

Stop the NTA Flow Storage service during the NPM installation:

  1. Log on to the NTA Flow Storage Database server.
  2. Start the Services tool on your server. For example, if you are using Windows 2008, select Administrative tools > Services in your Start menu).
  3. Select the SolarWinds NetFlow Storage service and click Stop.
  4. Install NPM.
  5. Go to the Orion Service Manager and start the SolarWinds NetFlow Storage service.
