Netflow charts do not match report for same time period

Overview

This article provides brief information on how to have the Netflow reports match the chart data for the same time period. By default, the charts use cached data so they are 2 minutes behind and the reports will show more data.

Environment

NTA version 4.x or later

Cause 

 Charts use relative time periods and the reports use absolute time period.

Resolution

When comparing the chart data to reports, use "Absolute time period" and select the same time periods as the reports in order to the data to match.

For example, when the report time period is for last hour,  the charts will need to be changed as shown below.  

This will show the same data on both charts and reports.
