NetFlow Service is not receiving packets due to Windows Firewall

When Windows Firewall is turned on, it automatically blocks inbound traffic for applications such as Kiwi Syslog Daemon that listen to specific ports for information.


  • All versions of NTA


To resolve the issue, you must add an exception into the Windows Firewall configuration.

  1. Open Windows Firewall from the Windows Control Panel.
  2. Select the Exceptions tab.
  3. Click Add Port.
  4. Specify the Name, Port number, and choose the Protocol.
  5. Click OK.
