On July 25th 2014, Gigamon released a new OS version (Gigamon OS v4.1.00), enabling Gigamon devices to send flow data in the following formats: NetFlow v5, NetFlow v9, and IPFIX. You can analyze flows exported from these devices with NTA.

Requirements

To process flows from Gigamon devices in NTA correctly, the devices must meet the following requirements:

  • The monitored Gigamon device must support appropriate flow export.
    Supported platforms/models:
    • GigaVUE-HD8
    • GigaVUE-HD4
    • GigaVUE-HC2
    • GigaVUE-HB1

  • GigaSMART blade or module and the appropriate license for all chassis must be included. It is included for example in GigaVUE-HB1 devices.

  • The flows from Gigamon devices must include fields required by NTA.
For more information about required fields, see "Fields required by NTA". For more information about configuring Gigamon devices, consult your Gigamon documentation.
