Updated July 11, 2018

This article provides steps on how to resolve the issue when the NTA performance is slow.

  • All NTA versions

The issue is caused by the thwack Recent NetFlow Posts resource being added to the NTA Summary view.

  1. Check OrionWeb.log for the error below:

2016-06-03 15:54:53,992 [63] WARN Orion_TrafficAnalysis_Resources_NetFlowTrafficSummary_Thwack - System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

  2. Verify if you can ping the IP or if it is blocked.
  3. Edit the NTA Summary view by clicking on Customize Page, and delete the Recent NetFlow Posts resource.
