Last Received NetFlow shows Current Time but there is no data in the NTA charts

Overview

The NTA Web Console is showing the Last Received NetFlow = Current Time.

There is no Data in the NTA charts.

ERROR:

SolarWinds.Netflow.FastBit.Server.StringHeap.StringHeapDal - Error while opening SQL connection: Login failed for user 'sa'.

 

ERROR:

SolarWinds.Netflow.FastBit.Server.StringHeap.StringHeapDal - Can't get IDs for strings becaues connection can't be opened.

 

ERROR:

SolarWinds.Netflow.FastBit.Server.Api.NTAFastBitServerService - Error while resolving string IDs: System.InvalidOperationException: Can't get IDs for strings becaues connection can't be opened.

Environment

NTA 4.x and later

Cause 

NTA Flow Storage Database is unable to open connection to the SQL database.

Resolution

  1. Go to Start > SolarWinds Orion > NetFlow Traffic Analyzer and run the NTA Flow Storage Configurator on the NTA Flow Storage Database Server.
  2. Verify the SQL connection details.
