WebinarUpcoming Webinar: Know What’s Changed – with NEW Server Configuration Monitor

Change management in IT is critical. But, even with a good change management process, changes are too often not correctly tracked, if at all. The configuration of your servers and applications is a key factor in their performance, availability, and security. Many incidents can be tracked back to an authorized (and sometimes unauthorized) configuration change, whether to a system file, configuration file, or Windows® Registry entry. Join SolarWinds VP of product management Brandon Shopp to discover how the new SolarWinds® Server Configuration Monitor is designed to help you.

Installer does not launch during an upgrade to NTA 4.2.2

Updated May 10, 2017

Overview

After launching the installer for NTA 4.2.2, it goes directly to the wizard and does not upgrade to the correct version. This error message prompts:

Website Configuration Failed

No valid package combination was found for current system

There are instances where the wizard exits without the error.

Environment

NTA 4.2.2

Resolution

  1. Remove all NTA files in C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Installers.
  2. Check for other files that need to be removed in C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\NTA\Installer\MSIs.
  3. Verify that NTA has upgraded to the correct version by going to Control panel > Programs and features and locating SolarWinds Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer.
After a successful upgrade to NTA 4.2.2, the version should now be on 4.2.3145.0.
