FortiGate Firewall is not displaying Netflow data in NTA

Overview

This article describes the issue when FortiGate Firewall is not displaying Netflow data in NTA. 

Environment

NTA version 4+

Cause 

This issue occurs due to Active and InactiveTimeouts are set to very high values. 

Resolution

  1. Set Active Timeout to 1 minute.
  2. Set Inactive to 15 seconds.
  3. Validate if Flows in Wireshark on the SolarWinds server have all required fields.
