Issue

Configuration Wizard fails during database configuration of an NTA upgrade

Cause

Table 'cbQOSPollerJobs' is not accepting NULL values for the 'EngineID' Column, due to this the database configuration fails with the following error:

Error while executing script - Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'EngineID', table 'NetPerfMon.dbo.cbQoSPollerJobs'; column does not allow nulls. UPDATE fails.

Resolution

  1. Manually fill in NULL values in the columns to the corresponding "EngineID" in the table "cbQOSPollerJOBS"  using Database Manager (Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager),
  2. Re-run Configuration Wizard - Running Configuration Wizard.
  3. Click 'Next' and finish the Configuration Wizard

Applies to Version: NTA 3.7 to NTA 3.10
