Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the following error:

NTA Service on host is suspended: Cannot connect to the NTA Flow Storage Database. Next connection attempt will occur in 30 seconds.

Environment

  • NTA version 4.1.1
  • NPM version 11.5.2

 

Cause 

The error is caused when certificate thumbprints do not match on both servers or license was expired so the service on the NTA Flow Storage Database has been stopped so the collector is down. 

Resolution

 

Certificate Thumbprint does not match:

 

 

  1. Uninstall the NTA Flow Storage Database on the remote server. 
  2. Re-install the NTA flow Storage Database. 
  3. Restart services on the primary server. 

 

NTA Service is suspended after license Expired:

 

1. Login to the NTA Flow Storage Database server.

2. Checked Services to validate the service is stopped. 

3. Run the NTA Configurator to restart services.
