WebinarUpcoming Webinar: Know What’s Changed – with NEW Server Configuration Monitor

Change management in IT is critical. But, even with a good change management process, changes are too often not correctly tracked, if at all. The configuration of your servers and applications is a key factor in their performance, availability, and security. Many incidents can be tracked back to an authorized (and sometimes unauthorized) configuration change, whether to a system file, configuration file, or Windows® Registry entry. Join SolarWinds VP of product management Brandon Shopp to discover how the new SolarWinds® Server Configuration Monitor is designed to help you.

ERROR: Scheduled NTA Flow Storage database backup failed

Information Bar displays the following error message even if the Flow Storage Database (FSDB) nightly backups are done properly:

Scheduled NTA Flow Storage database backup failed

NTA 4.0

This is a known issue in NTA which occurs in a multi-poller environment where more than one backup is launched simultaneously. The Flow Storage Database displays this info bar message if a second backup is launched simultaneously when the first backup is still running. The logs show that all backups have completed successfully. But the info bar message stays on the Web Console even if the backups finish successfully, and thus misguides the user.

This problem is rectified in NTA 4.1. Please upgrade to version 4.1 or higher to solve this issue.

If already on version 4.1, stop the Orion services, run the NTA Configuration wizard, and then restart Orion services.
