Decrease in flow data amounts displayed in charts after upgrading Juniper MX80

Overview

You may notice a decrease in the amount of data (bytes/packets) reported by a Juniper MX80 device after upgrading the IOS.

This occurs despite the proper configuration of the device using the instructions below:

Environment

  • All NTA versions

Cause 

This is caused by a bug in the latest version of IOS for the Juniper MX80 (and possibly other models).

Resolution

Please reach out to Juniper to track and see if a hotfix or upgrade has been released yet.
