Overview

This article describes how to create an alert for when the NTA flow data has been lost.

Environment

  • SAM 6.2 and later
  • NTA 4.0 and later

Steps

  1. Verify that you have a Windows credential that can access the Windows event logs on the target node.
  2. Take note of the EventID for the NTA flow DB connection that was lost.
  3. Create and assign a component monitor named Windows Event Log Monitor. For reference, go to Windows Event Log monitor.
  4. Create an alert using this component monitor to trigger whenever the vent is present from your NTA Flow storage database server. For reference, go to Log an alert to the Windows Event Log on a specific server.
