Overview

Web Console is down as the Configuration Wizard or repair fails with general 500 internal server error after upgrading NTA.

Environment

  • NTA 3.9 to 3.10

Cause

This error would occur if there are outdated Netflow dlls on the server.

Resolution

Perform the following steps to fix the issue:
  1. Using command prompt browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Modules\NTA.xml (path may slightly vary depending on the Windows version)
  2. Delete 'NTA.xml' and run a repair on the SolarWinds NTA installation by running the Configuration Wizard - Running Configuration Wizard
  3. A new 'NTA.xml' file will be created as the Configuration Wizard completes successfully
  4. Check if the Web Console is up and running now
