Overview

This article describes the issue when upgrading to NTA 3.9 fails with the following error on the Configuration Wizard:

Error while executing script - Difference of two datetime columns caused overflow at runtime.

Environment

  • NTA 3.9

Resolution

  1. Run the following SQL queries against the Orion database:
    DELETE cbQoSStats
    WHERE YEAR(EndDate) > 9000
     
    UPDATE STATISTICS dbo.cbQoSStats
  2. Re-run the Orion Configuration Wizard.
     

Not: MMake sure a good database backup has already been done before making direct changes to the database.
