Overview

This article describes how to resolve an error that can be encountered during an NTA upgrade.  After installing NTA, the configuration wizard may fail with the error below:

2016-03-22 11:18:15,757 [17] ERROR DBConfigProcessor - Error while executing script - 'PK_NetFlowAppsPendingUpdates' is not a constraint.
Could not drop constraint. See previous errors..

Environment

NTA 4.1.2 and earlier

Cause

Unfortunately, the cause of this issue is currently unknown.

Resolution

Note: It is required to have a backup of the Microsoft SQL database before completing any upgrades to Orion (See: https://support.solarwinds.com/Succe...pgrading_Orion)

  1. Drop the table NetFlowFastBitUpdatesApps from the Orion database.
  2. Run the Configuration Wizard. This allows the Configuration Wizard to proceed and rebuild the table which was dropped as well.
