Overview

The following error found the in the NTA.BusinessLayer.log indicates that the disk hosting the storage path for the NTA Flow Storage Database has run out of space.

NTA Flow Storage Database is out of space

Symptoms include loss of all charting data since the space ran out, despite "Last Received Netflow" date/time in "Manage Sources" appearing to be current. Upon close inspection of the Flow Storage Database contents, you will find that the actual flow data is not being retained but there is oftentimes enough space for solely the timestamp portion to be saved, which updates the "Last Received Netflow" time but does not actually save any historical data.

Environment

All Orion NTA 4.x environments
