Table of contents

Updated January 25, 2017

Overview

Changing the hostname and IP address of NTA FSDB is a very straight forward activity.

Environment

All NTA versions

Steps

  1. Shut down Orion services on the Orion server and APEs.
  2. On the NTA FSDB server, change the hostname of FSDB.
Note: When using a new hostname, make sure that FSDB can still reach the Orion and SQL servers (and vice versa).
  3. Run NTA Flow Storage Configurator.
  4. Test the connection of the database.
  5. Click OK and wait until the Configurator process completes.
  6. On the Orion server and APEs, run Configuration Wizard.
  7. Click Next until it reaches the NTA Flow Server Identification. Provide the correct FSDB hostname.
  8. Click Finish until the process completes.
