Overview

Can I change the default retention period?

Environment

  • NTA 4.x

Detail

Yes, the default retention period in NTA 4.x is set to 30 days, you can change that number at any time on the NTA Settings page. Most customers only need 2 weeks of historical data. However, there are also some customers who are interested in 6 months to a year for their data retention.

NTA version 4.1 and higher versions provide estimates of your NTA Flow Storage Database size with the currently set retention period. For more information, see Configuring the NTA Flow Storage Database Maintenance.
