Template Rules are missing from LEM

Overview

Template rules are missing from LEM such that no pre-configured rules can be cloned and the Add Rules Wizard will not be able to complete.

Environment

All LEM versions

Resolution

Multiple Managers appear in the Manage > Appliances view:

  1. From the Web or AIR console go to the Manage > Appliances view.
  2. If there are multiple managers listed, one should show as connected and the other(s) should show disconnected.
  3. Delete any disconnected managers.
  4. Refresh the page or close and re-launch the application if the AIR console.
  5. View Build > Rules and the rules should be visible now.

 

If the above fix does not apply there may be an issue with rule files on the LEM. This will be resolved by upgrading to the same or next version of the LEM.

  1. Download the appropriate version from the SolarWinds Customer Portal.
  2. Follow the Upgrade Guide in the zip package to run the upgrade.

This should copy the necessary files into place.
