Submit a request to SolarWinds for a new LEM connector

Overview

This article provides information about requesting a new LEM connector. Submit a connector request if you need to monitor software or a device that LEM does not yet support. 

Environment

  • All versions of LEM
  • Currently unsupported software or device that needs to be logged

Steps

As part of your maintenance package, SolarWinds will create new connectors that you request barring any sort of technical limitation. Please open a SolarWinds Support case and include the following items:

  • Product name
  • Product version
  • Product website (if applicable)
  • Type of logging (Windows Event log, syslog, SNMP, etc.)
  • Default path of the log file to monitor
  • A sample log file

 

Note: LEM is unable to read logs with multi-line or stack trace style formats.
