Saved Rule changes do not take effect

Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when changes have been made to a rule's correlations or other settings and the changes do not take effect.

Environment

All LEM versions

Cause 

The issue is caused when the Activate Rules button is  not clicked after saving the rule changes.

 

Resolution

To push the changes you made to the Rules engine, you must click on the Activate Rules button on the main Rules page after saving those changes.

Any time a new rule is created or and existing rule altered and saved, make sure to click the button so the engine has the latest changes.
