Overview

This article shows how to restart your LEM Appliance rather than rebooting through the hypervisor.

Note: Rebooting the LEM from the hypervisor is NOT recommended.
Using the CMC reboot (or shutdown) command performs an orderly shutdown of the database and application, before shutting down the operating system.

Environment

  • All LEM versions

Steps

  1. Open a LEM Appliance console connection.
  2. Enter Advance Configuration to get a CMC prompt.
    a. Type appliance
    b. Type reboot. Then follow the commands to reboot LEM.
