Overview

This article provides information on how to reset the admin password to log in to the LEM Console.

Environment

LEM 6.2.x only and below

Steps

  1. Connect to the LEM via SSH client or hypervisor virtual console. See Use an SSH client to connect to your LEM Appliance.
  2. Navigate to the manager menu and run the resetadmin command. The manager service will restart.
  3. You will now be able to log in to the console using a username of admin and default password of password.
  4. After logging in, it will prompt you to reset the admin password.

******PLEASE NOTE: If you are using a newer version of LEM [6.3 or 6.3.1], the steps above will NOT work.
