Limit SSH access to the CMC interface

Overview

This article provides steps to restrict SSH access to the CMC interface by IP address. Steps are also provided to remove the restriction.

Environment

All LEM versions.

Steps

To limit access over SSH:

  1. Log in to the CMC interface using the hypervisor console or an SSH client (port 32022 or 22 as of LEM 6.3.1).
  2. Type service.
  3. Type restrictssh.
  4. Follow the wizard to restrict access to the LEM cmc console.

 

To remove restrictions applied by the above steps:

  1. Log in to the CMC interface using a hypervisor console or an SSH client (port 32022 or 22 as of LEM 6.3.1).
  2. Type service.
  3. Type unrestictssh.
  4. Follow the wizard to clear all restrictions to the LEM cmc console.
