Updated March 11th, 2016

As with the Search Builder, you can use the search bar to delete search conditions from a search string. There are buttons to delete individual conditions, groups of conditions, or the entire string.

The following table explains how to delete search conditions directly from the search bar. For the examples in this table, suppose you have a set of search conditions that looks like this:

Severity = 4
AND
( InsertionIP = SolarWinds-demo50 OR
InsertionIP = intrepid )

To Do this
Delete an individual search condition

Click the File:Classic_Support/Security_&_Compliance/01Log_&_Event_Manager_(LEM)/LEMUserGuide_MT/0B0/0G0/Button-DeleteGroup.png button next to the condition in the search string.

Example:

Use this method to delete Severity = 4.

To delete a group of conditions

Click the File:Classic_Support/Security_&_Compliance/01Log_&_Event_Manager_(LEM)/LEMUserGuide_MT/0B0/0G0/Button-DeleteGroup.png button at the far right of the search box

Example:

Use this method to delete the OR group containing the two Insertion IPs.

Delete the entire search string

Click the round Delete AllFile:Classic_Support/Security_&_Compliance/01Log_&_Event_Manager_(LEM)/LEMUserGuide_MT/0B0/0G0/Icon-Delete(X).png button (next to the Search) button.

Example:

Use this method when you want to delete the entire search string to begin a new search.
