You can turn off filters you do not use to conserve system resources. When you decide to use the filter, you can turn it on. The filter starts from that moment in time and does not pull prior events from memory.

You can turn filters on and off in the Filters Pane. Filters that are off appear in italic type and show a status of Off. Filters that are on appear normal.

To turn a filter off:

  1. Open the Monitor view.
  2. In the Filters pane, select the filter you want to turn off.
  3. In the Filters pane, click File:Success_Center/Reusable_content_-_InfoDev/LEMUserGuide_MT/090/0B0/Button-Gear(Gray)_13x11.png and select Turn off.

The filter title changes to italicized text and reads Off.

To turn a filter on:

  1. Open the Monitor view.
  2. In the Filters pane, select the filter you want to turn on.
  3. In the Filters pane, click File:Success_Center/Reusable_content_-_InfoDev/LEMUserGuide_MT/090/0B0/Button-Gear(Gray)_13x11.png and select Turn off.

The filter title changes to standard text and begins displaying the total number of events associated with the filter.
