The Users view is used to manage the system users associated with each manager. By adding email addresses for each user, the console can notify users by email when a monitored event occurs.

Users view features

The following table describes the key features of the Users view.

Name Description

Refine Results

Filters the Users grid based on your selections.

Users grid

Displays all users associated with each manager throughout your network.


Adds a LEM user and provides directions for adding Directory Service user or group.

User Information

Displays information about the user currently selected in the Users grid. If you are editing a user, the User Information pane converts into an editable form.

Users grid columns

By default, the Users grid displays all users configured for all managers monitored by the console. However, you can use the Refine Results form to refine the contents in the grid.

Column Description

Provides a drop-down menu to edit user information or import a LEM user.


The user login status. Indicates if the user is currently logged on to the Console:

File:Success_Center/Reusable_content_-_InfoDev/LEMUserGuide_MT/070/060/Icon-UserLoggedOn.png indicates the user is logged on to the console.

File:Success_Center/Reusable_content_-_InfoDev/LEMUserGuide_MT/070/060/Icon-UserLoggedOff.png indicates the user is not logged on to the console.

User Name

The name used to log on to the manager.

First Name

The user first name.

Last Name

The user last name.


The role assigned to the user.


The user job function or responsibility. Displays a brief description of the user???s job function or responsibility.


The manager associated with the user.

Last Login

The last date and time when the user logged on to the system.

Refine the Users grid

By default, the Users grid shows all users for all Managers. The Refine Results form behaves like a search engine, letting you apply filters to the grid to reduce the number of users it shows.

Field Description


Click Reset to return the form and the Users grid to their default settings.


Select the Manager you want to work with. By default, the grid displays All Managers.


Select the user role you want to work with. By default, the grid displays All roles.

Last Login Date Range

Type or select the begin and end date range to display users who logged in within that date range.

View the user system privileges

After you select a user role, you can click View Role to view the system privileges associated to a user role.

  1. Open the Build > Users view.
  2. In the Users grid, select a user.

  3. In the User Information grid, click View Role.

    The Privileges form appears, displays the system privileges for his or her assigned role.

  4. Click Close to return to the console.
