WebinarUpcoming Webinar: Know What’s Changed – with NEW Server Configuration Monitor

Change management in IT is critical. But, even with a good change management process, changes are too often not correctly tracked, if at all. The configuration of your servers and applications is a key factor in their performance, availability, and security. Many incidents can be tracked back to an authorized (and sometimes unauthorized) configuration change, whether to a system file, configuration file, or Windows® Registry entry. Join SolarWinds VP of product management Brandon Shopp to discover how the new SolarWinds® Server Configuration Monitor is designed to help you.

LEM reports logon fails

Table of contents
No headers

When logon does fail, it is usually within the first minute.

Troubleshooting considerations

When logon fails, check crystaljrc.log for one or more of the following issues:

  • Unreachable host
  • Incorrect Username or Password.
  • Incorrect IP address (server not reachable).
  • Manager port not accessible.
  • Firewall restriction on the windows machine.
  • unrestrictreports not being run on the manager.

If the LEM/SIM has separate manager and database appliances, port 9001 must be open on both appliances. Run unrestrictreports on both appliances. On the Database node, the port must be opened from Windows running Reports. On the Manager node, the port must be opened from the Database node.

  • Firewall restriction on a network
  • Router in the network
  • Reboot the LEM
  • Reboot the computer

Diagnose manager port access from the reports Windows machine.

An open 9001/tcp port indicates an accessible port for report communication.
