Logon Failed. Database Vendor Code: 1305, Error Code: -2147189176

Unable to run reports via the Reports Console.  The following error message is received:

Logon failed

Details: [Database Vendor Code: -1305]

Error Code: -2147189176


All LEM versions


This error is caused by an issue with encryption between LEM and the Reports Console.


Is TLS enabled and not needed?

  1. In the Reports Console, click Configure > Managers - Credentials and Certificates.
  2. If the Use TLS connection box is checked and TLS is not enabled on LEM, uncheck the option.

    If you are unsure, you can verify if TLS is enabled from the LEM Manager menu in the CMC shell by typing disabletls and confirming the desired state at the prompt.

Is TLS Enabled and needed?

  1. Follow the steps in Enable TLS, and export the certificate.
  2. Import the certificate into the Reports Console by clicking Configure > Managers - Credentials and Certificates.
  3. Click the Certificates tab.
  4. Restart the Reports Console.
  5. Try to run your report again.
