LEM scheduled reports are not working

Overview

LEM scheduled reports that are set to run at a specific time and be saved in specific folders are not saved to these folders. The tests run without errors when generated manually.

Environment

LEM 6.3.1

Cause 

This occurs when user permissions are incorrectly set for the folder where the reports are set to be saved. 

Resolution

  1. Configure a test scheduled report.
  2. In the Web Console, go to the Monitor page.
  3. Go to the LEM Internal Events filter and check for any event entries related to the report similar to the following:
    InternalWarnings that state: SWLEM Reports Error: "----Title of the report here-----". See the following example for a scheduled report titled Authentication -Top User Logon Failure By User:
  4. Click the event and check the Description field.

    The Access Denied value in the Description field means that this is a user permissions issue.
  5. Verify that the folders and users have the correct permissions and run the test again.
