InternalAuditSuccess events don't always display a rule's name after it is modified

Overview

After modifying and saving a rule, an InternalAuditSuccess event is generated under the LEM Internal Events filter. This event should display the name of the modified rule in the EventInfo field, but some rule names are not displayed at all.

Environment

  • All LEM versions

Cause

A known bug in the system that is caused by a rule that has Tags associated with it.

Resolution

This is a current known issue that may be fixed in a future release. The current workaround is to simply remove all Tags from any rules you wish to monitor as rules without tags don't seem to be affected by this bug.

  1. Go to Build > Rules.
  2. Locate a rule you want to monitor correctly and double-click to Edit it.
  3. Click on the Tags hyperlink at the top of the edit window to open the Tags sub-window.
  4. Uncheck all of the Tags, and save the rule.
