Enable LEM to receive Flow data

Overview

This article provides steps on how to enable LEM to capture Flow data.

All versions of LEM

Steps

  1. Access the CMC prompt:
    • Virtual Console: Arrow down to Advanced Configuration, and then press Enter.
    • SSH Client: Log in using your CMC credentials.
  2. In the cmc> prompt, enter serviceThe prompt changes to cmc::scm# indicating you are in the service configuration menu.
  3. In the scm> prompt, enter enableflow.
  4. For NetFlow, the LEM listens on UDP 2100 and for sFlow the LEM listens on UDP 6343.

 

Note:  

A Default Agent will need to be installed and enabled for Flow to become active. The Agent will need to be installed on a Windows machine and then the enableflow command given.
