Directory Service Connector Tool in LEM 6.3.1 for AD groups and users

Updated June 16, 2017

Overview

This article provides information regarding the use of the LDAP or SSO Directory Service Connector Tool for AD groups and users.

Environment

LEM 6.3.X and later

Detail

LEM versions 6.3.x and later versions use the Directory Service Query Connector, but this can only be used to query groups for use by rules, filters, and nDepth searches. This does not apply to users with AD login credentials.

For LEM 6.3.x and later versions, LDAP or SSO will need to be configured to use AD credentials for the console login. A local user (administrator) account can still be used to log in to LEM if it has not been disabled in the new LDAP or SSO configuration.

Additional information

  • The new LDAP module configuration can be checked in http://yourlem-ip://8080/mvc/configuration.
  • Refer to SSO configuration for more information on how to set up SSO in LEM.
  • Refer to LDAP configuration for more information on how to enable LDAP connection between LEM and the domain controller.
