Change the database connection

  1. Open Crystal Reports and create a new Report.
  2. Click Database > Log On or Off Server.
  3. Expand Create New Connection in the Data Explorer window and double-click JDBC (JNDI).
  4. In the JDBC (JNDI) window, enter the information for the Connection URLDatabase Class Name, and Connection Name fields, and then click Next.

  5. On the JDBC (JNDI) Connection Information screen, enter the following credentials:
    • User ID field - contego
    • password field - reports 

    The following are credentials that are needed for the Database connection:

    • LEM 6.0.0 and earlier:

      User ID field - contego 

      password field - reports 

    • LEM 6.0.1 and later:

      Specify credentials of LEM Web/Air Console user with Reports, Administrator or Auditor role. If there is a Database field, enter alertdb in it.

  6. Click Finish, and then click Close
  7. Use Database > Database Expert to add tables to the report when the database connection is complete.

  8. The reports are ready after the relevant tables are selected in the Database Expert and their references within the report are moved from AlertDBDSN to HSQLDB.
