WebinarUpcoming Webinar: Know What’s Changed – with NEW Server Configuration Monitor

Change management in IT is critical. But, even with a good change management process, changes are too often not correctly tracked, if at all. The configuration of your servers and applications is a key factor in their performance, availability, and security. Many incidents can be tracked back to an authorized (and sometimes unauthorized) configuration change, whether to a system file, configuration file, or Windows® Registry entry. Join SolarWinds VP of product management Brandon Shopp to discover how the new SolarWinds® Server Configuration Monitor is designed to help you.

Air-based (GUI) console fails to connect to LEM

Table of contents

Updated: October 26, 2017

Overview

LEM 'air-based' console fails to connect to LEM on either port 8080 or 8443. This console requires Adobe Air to be installed prior to installing this 'standalone' console. This article does not reference the web-based console (another console), which requires flash to be installed.

Environment

Any version of LEM, recently upgraded.

Detail

If the air-based console is being used, and the LEM is upgraded, the air-based 'standalone' console application must be upgraded to the same version as LEM, before attempting to connect.
If this 'standalone' console is not upgraded, the connection to LEM may still work, but full functionality may not be achieved.
The web-based console will not be impacted by this.
