Adjust the time, date, and time zone for the virtual appliance

Table of contents

Updated: October 5, 2018

This article details how to adjust the time, date and time zone.

All LEM versions

  1. Connect to your LEM using SSH or a hypervisor virtual console.
  2. Type appliance, and then press Enter.
  3. Type dateconfig, and then press Enter. This sets/shows the date and time of the virtual appliance.
  4. Type tzconfig, and then press Enter. This configures the time zone information of the virtual appliance.
  5. To leave the CMC interface, enter Exit twice.

If you are using Network Time Protocol (NTP) instead of setting the time manually, you will want to specify the NTP Servers using the ntpconfig command from the APPLIANCE section of the CMC rather than the dateconfig command.
