Add an individual connector to a node and add the node to a connector profile

Table of contents

Overview

This article is to address the query: Can a user add an individual connector to a node, and then add the node to a connector profile. This individual connector, however, is not saved in the connector profile.

Environment

  • LEM version 6.2

Detail

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The individual connector will disappear if a user adds the node to a connector profile which does not include that connector.

If a user adds a node to a connector profile, the user cannot then have individual connectors assigned to that node. The node has been added to one profile, so it's connectors will be working through that group profile the user has created.

If a user adds the connector in question to the profile, then all the nodes in that profile will also have that connector tied to it.
