Integrating RSA SecurID with SolarWinds LEM

Overview

This article outlines the procedures for configuring RSA SecurID for integration with a LEM Agent, and configuring the SecurID tool on the LEM Agent.

Steps

To configure RSA SecurID for integration with a LEM Agent:

Note: Complete the following procedure for RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 running on Windows.

  1. Open the RSA Authentication Manager 6.1 Administration console.
  2. Click Log and then Log to System Log.
  3. Click Log, and then select Log Filtering > Configure.
  4. Configure logging according to your preferences.

 

To configure the SecurID tool on your LEM Agent:

  1. Open your LEM Console and log into your LEM Manager as an administrator.
  2. Click the Manage tab, and then click Nodes.
  3. Locate your RSA SecurID appliance in the Nodes list. Use the Refine Results pane (left) if necessary.
  4. Click the gear icon next to your RSA LEM Agent (left), and then select Tools.
  5. In the Tool Configuration window, enter SecurID in the search box at the top of theRefine Results pane.
  6. Click the gear icon next to the SecurID tool, and then select New.
  7. Enter a custom Alias or accept the default.
  8. If you are finished configuring the tool, click Save.
  9. Click the gear icon next to the new tool, denoted by an icon in the Status column, and then click Start.
  10. Click Close to close the Tool Configuration window.
