Overview

This article describes how to enable or disable the SNMP Trap Listening service in LEM.

Environment

All LEM versions        

Steps

LEM can accept SNMP traps sent by devices on your network if the SNMP Trap Listening service is enabled. LEM normalizes the SNMP traps from the following devices:

  • Sophos
  • ManageEngine
  • Motorola

LEM 6.3 and later

  1. Log in to LEM CMC.
  2. Enter the following commands:
    cmc> service
    cmc::scm# snmp
            

Note: Use the NB: snmp command to disable the service.

 

LEM 6.2.1 and earlier

  1. Log in to LEM CMC.
  2. Enter the following commands:
    cmc> service
    cmc::scm# enable snmp

Note: Use the NB: disablesnmp command to disable the service.
