Configure the Print Services Connectors

Overview

In order for the Print Services for Windows 7/2008(Admin) or Print Services for Windows 7/2008(Operational) connectors to function properly on a Windows node, some additional steps are required.

  • All LEM versions

Steps

 

Follow the steps below for setting up Print Services for Windows Connector and Registry entries.  

  1. Add a registry key.
        a. Open Registry editor on the Node/agent machine (Regedit.exe)
        b. Navigate to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog
        c. Right click on EventLog>New Key.
        d. Name Key:  Microsoft-Windows-PrintService/Operational and/or Microsoft-Windows-PrintService/Admin (For admin connector)

2. On the Node: Add a connector.
  a. On the LEM console, click on Manage>Nodes>GearIcon>Connector.
      b. Find Print Services for Windows 7/2008(Operational) or Print Services for Windows 7/2008(Admin)
    c. Select the GearIcon>New connector.

3. Repeat the steps above for Microsoft-Windows-PrintService/Admin if necessary.
